Far View Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Breckenridge/Fairplay organization. The main ranch is located on 40 beautiful acres near Fairplay, Colorado and offers individual rehabilitation pens as well as cross fenced pastures with shelters and a stream. Some horses are located at the Breckenridge Equestrian Center in the summer months.
Our Vision: Finding our rescued horses successful partnerships with new owners, through caring youth and adult volunteers plus horsemanship education.
Mission: We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. FVHR is committed to reducing the number of unwanted horses by providing community resources through equine education, information and referral services.
FVHR is able to accomplish their goals with many youth and adult volunteers. The youth programs allow kids to learn more about caring for horses, responsibility and create bonding relationships with these incredible horses.
The Far View Horse Rescue received a huge surprise today! Purina Horse Feed donated two tons of horse grain to the Rescue today, but wait there is more. The gift was delivered on flat bed truck that was led into the Rescue by the Budweiser Clydesdales. Over 40 volunteers were at the Rescue for a Purina video shoot when 8 world famous Clydesdales rolled in. The Far View Horse Rescue is so grateful for the grain donation by Purina in conjunction with A Home for Every Horse Program. Watch for the professional video that will be released around the end of November.
Currently accepting applications for prospective board members for 2018. FVHR is entirely run by local volunteer and operates in Summit & Park County year-round.
