Getting Involved - Making a Change

Volunteers offer invaluable support to the Far View Horse Rescue.
No horse experience is required, only an interest in their well being.  Must be at least 12 years old, unless accompanied by a parent.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Barn Volunteers - spend time feeding and watering the horses!  Barn clean up and other special projects as needed.

Equestrian Volunteers - After regular chores are complete, enjoy spending time with the horses.

Maintenance Volunteers - In our efforts to keep our facility looking sharp, we can utilize more volunteer help with such projects as fence repair, pasture maintenance and horse shelter repair.

Education Volunteers - Help organize educational clinics for groups and assist with volunteer orientations.

Development Volunteers - assist with marketing,  public relations, web site, newsletters and promotional materials.

Fundraising Volunteers  - assist with fundraising efforts.

All volunteers are required to attend an orientation before starting.   The informative orientation covers:  tour of the property, policies and procedures, programs, body language of the horse, horse handling and grooming.    Sign up by e-mailing farviewhorserescue@gmail.com t or call 970-376-2103 or 719-939-5545.

Cash and in-kind donations are always encouraged.   The Far View Horse Rescue is a 501 c3 organization so any donations are a tax deduction.
